I’m sure a lot of moms (and dads!) can relate—summer is both the most fun and the most stressful time of the year. On one hand, I love having more time with my littles, making fun summer memories. On the other hand… sometimes, it's not quite as magical as I imagined. Between the constant "I'm booooored" declarations and the never-ending snack raids that empty the pantry before noon, sometimes I just need a break.
And for that break, I seek out the magic of summer camp.
The camps below are just a few of the many awesome options Brunswick County has to offer:
One of our family favorites! Located in downtown Southport, this camp explores a different style of art each week. Run by the sweetest duo you’ll ever meet, Ginger and Kelly will guide your child in creating something you actually want to keep! (It’s not just me who "accidentally" misplaces those random scribbles from the backpack, right?)

Located off Fish Factory Rd in Southport, Escuela de Sol offers a different theme each week, from Spanish adventures to cooking and art. There's a little something for everyone!

If you’ve got younger kiddos, this one’s for you! Housed in Grace Christian Fellowship Church, this camp serves preschoolers (ages 3 to 5) and is designed for kids of all abilities.

A summer classic! The YMCA offers day camps in both Leland (at the Barn at Rock Creek) and Ocean Isle (at Ocean View Baptist Church). Designed for kids ages 5 to 15, this camp includes a weekly field trip!
